This event will be held on SUNDAY 13th SEPTEMBER in our beautiful Bosco del Cerquone. 

 This is a  walk suitable for everyone, embellished with adelightful musical moment in one of the most beautiful clearings in the wood, with hazelnut and oak trees that will be the stage for the notes of the guitar-voice musical duo, "L'Essenziale".

Dear friends, these are the words of the Renato Carella, president of the Sicilian association Il Ramarro, in the aftermath of the arson that destroyed hectares of woods and the operational base of the association.

The Bosco di Santo Pietro oriented nature reserve, an area of over 6,500 hectares near Caltagirone was affected on July 3 by an impressive series of arson that devastated several hundred hectares of Mediterranean scrub and wood, upsetting the precious ecological balance and causing extensive damage to local vegetation and fauna. In addition to more than  8000 trees, also the base of Renelle -  da where for over 25 years the volunteers of the Il Ramarro association have been fighting to spread a culture of legality, respect for the environment and social involvement in the defense of the precious strip of land - has been completely destroyed. With it, a nursery, 2km of fences, the photovoltaic system, the irrigation system, an adventure trail and other aids.

But Il Lizard does not give up and does not give in to Mafia intimidation, he rolls up his sleeves determined to be reborn from his ashes like a phoenix. Let them feel our solidarity !!!

The  president of the "Il Ramarro" association will arrive in Rocca Priora to participate in the event,   personally testifying the difficult conditions in which the volunteers _8df6f99 a511-2eb009ed8a2d_ work to protect the forest.

All the proceeds from the initiative will be donated to the Sicilian association and to the dream of its volunteers to defend a heritage that belongs to the community.
